How to Get YOUR Video on the MMS Home Page

One of the benefits of being at least a "Delta" level Melbourne Main Street Member is that you have your own profile page on a world wide website and you don't even need website of your own!  

Your profile page has the capability of hosting a video all the time!  For an additional monthly fee of $50.00, we can promote your video to the Melbourne Main Street Website home page!  Remember though, you must be a current Melbourne Main Street member to enjoy this benefit.  Here's how it works:

1. Create a video (rated PG or G please!) or have one professionally created for you.  Tightline Productions, an MMS member, is a full service agency that can do this for you, and they're right here in downtown! (321-768-6528).

2. Upload your video to one of the global free video hosting services such as "You Tube" or "Vimeo." Each of these sites will instruct you on how to create an account with them and upload your video.  If you're nice to the Tightline guys and paid them to create your video, they might even do it for you and just give you the web address you need to plug into this web site!

3. Copy the URL (Web address) of your video once you have it uploaded on a video hosting site.

4. Login to you Melbourne Main Street profile account.  You were mailed instructions on how to do this after you paid your annual membership fee.  It would have come in the same envelope as your Downtowner Club Cards.

5. Navigate to your business through the website.  When you get to your listing, you will see two tabs at the top if you have logged in properly.  One says "View" and the other says "Edit.  Click the "Edit" tab.

6. Scroll down to the "Video" field and paste in the web address of your hosted video!  Make sure you scroll to the bottom and click the "SAVE" button next! That will put the video on your profile page permanently!  If you want it on the MMS HOME PAGE, continue to step 7.

7. Look at the chart below to see who is already scheduled for the year, and select any available month and position.  Be sure to include a second choice in case someone else gets your slot first! There is a limit to one month per request in order to give all members a fair chance!

8. Send a check for $50.00 payable to "Melbourne Main Street" at PO Box 754, Melbourne, FL 32902.  We will not hold slots! Your request must be accompanied with payment to reserve your slot.  Write "Attention WebMaster" on the outside of the envelope and include the payment with the month & backup you want your video to be on the home page.  If you include a bag of jelly beans for the webmaster ("Jelly Belly" preferred), he MAY put your video in an available space until it gets purchased, or slide you in a cancelation, but there are no guarantees on that. Both video slots are located in prime viewing real estate, so either position will be awesome.  It's best to sign up now, because as the site grows and gets more hits, the price for this prime real estate will increase!

8. Spread the word about the AWESOME deals and web presence you can have by becoming a Melbourne Main Street Member!
